Dr Sarah Barns new Director Historypin Australia

Posted on: 8 May 2012

Historypin is a participant-built digital map that gives people around the world an opportunity to represent their photographic history in relation to landmarks. This online ‘citizen history’ develops a massive network of collections and stories.

Sarah Barns, the Australian director of Historypin is planning a big Australian presence on this site through the Australian Memory Project 2013. Follow the blog at<>

Sarah’s previous work has included the production of the ABC’s Sydney Sidetracks in 2008 and co-production of the wonderful Unguarded Moments for the City of Sydney’s Art & About Festival in 2011. You can see Sarah’s presentation on Intangible presences: Re-locating archives for heritage interpretation using mobile media at M&GSQ’s 2011 State Conference in Mackay
