Thargomindah volunteer, Anne Beetson, returns from a successful Internship at Cobb+Co Museum, Toowoomba

on:Anne Beetson, a successful applicant to M&GSQ’s pilot 2011 Mentorship, Exchange and Fellowship Program, has completed a successful Volunteer Internship with Cobb+Co Museum in Toowoomba. Anne is a volunteer at Leahy Historical House in Thargomindah.
Cobb+Co Museum is a campus of the Queensland Museum.
The Mentorship, Exchange and Fellowship Program is being offered again for 2012. Potential applicants must register with M&GSQ no later than 14 October 2011 – see the end of this article for details.

Rockhampton Curator, Holly Grech-Fitzgerald, completes an inspiring Mentorship at the National Gallery of Australia

on:Another successful applicant to M&GSQ’s pilot 2011 Mentorship, Exchange and Fellowship Program, Holly Grech-Fitzgerald, has returned from her Gallery Mentorship with the National Gallery of Australia in Canberra. Holly is Curator of the University Art Collection, Central Queensland University, Rockhampton.
The Mentorship, Exchange and Fellowship Program is being offered again for 2012. Potential applicants must register with M&GSQ no later than 14 October 2011 – see the end of this article for details.

Gabriel Smith and Rebecca Bradford undertake Volunteer Internships at QUT Art Museum and Queensland Museum

Gabriel Smith, a volunteer with Umbrella Studio in Townsville, and Rebecca Bradford, a volunteer with Redcliffe Museum have recently completed Volunteer Internships under M&GSQ’s pilot 2011 Mentorship, Exchange and Fellowship Program.
Gabriel undertook her Volunteer Internship with QUT Art Museum at Gardens Point in Brisbane, while Rebecca completed her Internship at the Queensland Museum South Bank campus.

Beverley Mitchell of KickArts Contemporary Arts, Cairns, completes International Fellowship in Canada

on:Beverley Mitchell, another successful recipient of M&GSQ’s pilot 2011 Mentorship, Exchange and Fellowship Program, has completed an International Fellowship in Canada. Beverley is General Manager with KickArts Contemporary Arts in Cairns. Her placement was with the Fonderie Darling (Darling Foundry) in Montreal, Canada.
